We are looking for a passionate Intern for our Business Operations, working with Packaging. The role is a part of our recycling team Revolt, and will be based in Västerås (Sweden). By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing and ramping up our recycling activities in Europe.

The long-term goal for our team is to develop and ramp a best-in-class recycling process to supply Northvolt's battery production with 50% recycled materials by 2030. To achieve this, an enormous amount of battery waste materials will need to be secured, stored and transported across Europe. Revolt has already started these activities and are now looking to further expand our operations in Europe, with a complex network of partners and logistics flows.

About the team

The Revolt team currently consists of more than100 people and is in a strong growth phase, as we are getting prepared for starting operations of our first industrial recycling plant Revolt Ett in Skellefteå in 2023. The team is currently spread across multiple sites; at the head quarter in Stockholm, at our industrial recycling plant in Skellefteå, at our R&D Pilot plant in Västerås, at our recycling hub in Hamburg, Germany.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

You will be responsible for packaging development in order to optimize recycling flows of battery materials in Europe:

  • Responsible for managing and coordination of packaging solutions development projects in close collaboration with Logistics, Engineering and Purchasing teams
  • Responsible for packaging and labelling requirement handling and implementation with internal stakeholders as well as vendors and customers of the packaging material.

  • Responsible for managing and project execution of projects covering packaging design for customers along with internal stakeholders as well as vendors.

  • Responsible for leading continuous packaging improvements as well as leading packaging change projects covering new product introductions.

  • Responsible for driving deviations as well as complaints on the packaging material by acting as contact person for material and packaging vendors.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Some knowledge of the Transport, Storage & Logistics operations and procedures

  • A degree in BSc/MSc in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, possibly German language skills, other languages are a plus

  • Previous working experience with Packaging in industrial environments is a plus

  • Experience with multi-cultural business relationship is a clear plus
